Farnell expands line card with Same Sky global distribution deal

Farnell has added Same Sky to its global distribution roster. The deal gives Same Sky wider reach through Farnell in EMEA, Newark in North America, and element14 in Asia Pacific.

IN Brief:

  • The agreement places Same Sky’s electromechanical and thermal component portfolio into Farnell’s global distribution network.
  • Products including audio components, interconnect and thermal management solutions will be available via Farnell, Newark and element14.
  • The partnership expands regional inventory availability and sourcing access for engineers across EMEA, the Americas and Asia Pacific.

Farnell has signed a global distribution agreement with Same Sky, extending the manufacturer’s reach across Europe, the Americas and Asia Pacific through Farnell, Newark and element14.

The move gives Same Sky access to a distribution channel with extensive international coverage while adding another established electromechanical and thermal supplier to Farnell’s component portfolio. The agreement brings Same Sky’s product range – including audio components, interconnect, motion and control, sensors, and thermal management products – into Farnell’s global catalogue.

Same Sky, which rebranded from CUI Devices in 2024, has focused on expanding availability of its component portfolio through major distribution channels. By entering Farnell’s network, the company gains visibility with engineering teams and purchasing organisations that already source through Farnell’s regional brands.

The distributor operates in more than 60 countries and supplies customers across over 150 industries. Farnell’s catalogue includes more than 950,000 products spanning around 2,000 manufacturer brands. The business has been part of Avnet since 2016.

Electromechanical components such as connectors, audio devices and thermal solutions continue to appear across a wide range of electronics designs, from embedded systems and industrial controls to consumer products and building automation equipment. Distribution agreements in these categories remain an important route to market, helping component manufacturers expand regional inventory access and local technical support.

Through the agreement, Same Sky products will be available via Farnell in EMEA, Newark in North America and element14 across Asia Pacific, providing engineers with broader sourcing options across multiple regions.
